My hiatus adventures continue. Now I'm not sure if you know this, but I'm kind of a big deal. Also I have family in Mexico. "Irish people? In Mexico, you say? Get a load of this!" Yeah that's right, I'm interesting and worldly. Turns out my second cousin lives in Baja near San Felipe for half the year, and spends the other half in Florida - he was originally in NY. (Shock, surprise: a retired New Yorker in Florida). Well I saw him when I was in Florida on my Harry Potter pilgramige and he invited me to visit Baja if I could.

I get back from NY, spend a week in LA to deal with jury duty, which kept me on hold ALL week for nothing. The justice system treated me like a flaky boyfriend; telling me we'd hang out but then never calling. So by Friday we broke up and I was free to flee the country.

I figured I'd stay til maybe St. Patty's day the latest. Then I get invited to go on an 8 day road trip adventure starting Sunday. And you know what? I got nothing else to do. So, when in Rome - where relatives will let you mooch, go for it! The best part is my cousin keeps getting mistaken to be my dad or uncle so let's just say I'm the youngest here by at least 20 years except I'm having a hard time keeping up with all of them, especially in the drinking department. ("Ah, there's the Irish!") Although I did know the name of a drink they didn't know. It's called A.M.F. on the menu. The waiter said the PC version is Adios My Friend, but he and I both knew a different meaning for MF and I bet you know it too...

Some warned me about being kidnapped while here and I waved it off but there is a chance my own family is holding me, forcing delicious margaritas down my throat in an effort to sterilize my organs. You know, getting ready to harvest them n such on the black market or should I say negro mercado.
I'm actually surprised how much Spanish I can understand, in signs anyway, once a person starts talking my brain pretty much shuts down. But I do know the basics that help get me by especially when it comes to food.

Me encanta tacos de pescado!
